Grammy (Helen Jameson) and Grampy Charles Gartley. Helen was a teacher and she boarded with my grandfather's family while she taught in Watson Settlement and that's how they met. Her father owned a LOT of land at Richmond Corner which is where they set up housekeeping and raised five children on the farm. Their house was about a mile from my Great Grandfather Jameson's house and all the land in between and across the road was used for raising hay and oats... they had several cows and my grandmother made butter in a churn. There were a lot of chickens running free too. There was a bull and a couple of horses. The only one I remember was called King.
